90% of breast cancers are first spotted by women themselves or their partners.

Women in the U.S. have 1 in 8 lifetime chance of developing breast cancer, and a 1 in 33 chance of dying from breast cancer. The number of cases has significantly increased in the past 30 years, partly because of modern Western lifestyles.
